But do the old dudes in question <i>deserve<\/i>\u00a0the ring?<\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Miami Heat<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i80sportsblog.com\/last-shot-nba-championship-for-juwan-howard-fab-five\/\"><b>Juwan\u00a0Howard<\/b><\/a>&#8211; If Howard gets a ring, he\u2019d be the first and only member of Michigan\u2019s\u00a0\u201cFab\u00a0Five\u201d to secure one. Early in his career, Howard was as productive as any player on this list. Plus, he was usually the only good player on bad Washington Bullets and Denver Nuggets teams.<br \/>\n<b>Verdict:\u00a0I\u2019m cool with him getting one.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Erick\u00a0Dampier<\/b>&#8211;\u00a0Dampier\u00a0should have been a much better pro player offensively, but instead became known as a defensive stopper above all else. But other than being big, was he ever that good? I do think it\u2019s funny that he left Dallas to pursue a ring, and now he faces the\u00a0Mavs\u00a0in the finals.<br \/>\n<b>Verdict: No, I\u2019m not cool with it.<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Mike\u00a0Bibby<\/b>&#8211;\u00a0Bibby\u00a0was the leader and catalyst for some very solid Kings teams earlier in the decade that could never beat the\u00a0Lakers\u00a0in the playoffs, including an epic seven game Western Conference Final in 2001-02. At his prime, he was one of the best PG\u2019s in the league.<br \/>\n<b>Verdict:\u00a0I\u2019m cool with him getting one.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Mike Miller-<\/b>\u00a0Mike Miller is on this list because he\u2019s been playing like he was old all season, until the last two games against the Bulls when he provided a spark. Miller is the player on this list I\u2019m most conflicted about. He was a solid individual player early in his career (double figure\u00a0ppg\u00a0for 9 of 10 seasons) but he wasn\u2019t great. Hmmm\u2026<br \/>\n<b>Verdict:\u00a0Yes, but I\u2019m pretty\u00a0blas\u00e9\u00a0about him. Doesn\u2019t excite me like\u00a0Bibby\u00a0or Kidd getting one, but way better than\u00a0Peja.<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Zydrunus\u00a0Ilgauskas<\/b>&#8211; \u201cBig Z\u201d, huh? Correct me if I\u2019m wrong but wasn\u2019t he the first vet to join the Heat after the \u201cBig Three\u201d signed? I\u2019ll give him credit for his enterprising ways at the very least. 7-3, and he can barely dunk. Imagine if Spud Webb was 7-3; he\u2019d be doing s$%# off the top of the backboard.<br \/>\n<b>Verdict:\u00a0I\u2019m cool with him getting one.<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Jamaal\u00a0Magloire<\/b>&#8211; The ultimate five team trade throw in player.<br \/>\n<b>Verdict:\u00a0NO<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dallas Mavericks<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i80sportsblog.com\/jason-kidd-retires-his-rap-career-will-never-die\/\"><b>Jason Kidd<\/b><\/a>&#8211; Kidd totally deserves a ring; I think almost everyone is in agreement on that. If not, tell us why not in the \u201cComments\u201d below. The increase in his effort, intensity and productivity from regular season to playoffs has keyed several victories.<br \/>\n<b>Verdict:\u00a0I\u2019m cool with him getting one<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dirk\u00a0Nowitzki<\/strong>&#8211; Interesting point made during Game 5; of all current NBA superstars, Dirk has had the least to work with throughout his career and has basically carried the franchise until now. Ruminate on that. Additionally, Bird comparisons need to stop.<br \/>\n<b>Verdict:\u00a0I\u2019m cool with him getting one.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><b style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Jason Terry<\/b><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">&#8211; He gets overlooked at times, but when Terry gets on a hot streak he\u2019s as good a pure scorer as there is. And I love that he\u2019s rocked the high socks his entire career, not just when it was cool; he\u00a0<\/span><i style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">made<\/i><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">\u00a0it cool. Then Kerry\u00a0Kittles\u00a0developed version 2.0.<br \/>\n<\/span><b>Verdict:\u00a0I\u2019m cool with him getting one<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Shawn Marion<\/b>&#8211; \u201cThe Matrix\u201d deserves one for his freakish ways early in his career, and for being a fantasy stud for a solid five years at least. It\u2019s too bad he toned down his three point shooting ways because his shot from downtown was so bizarre- and largely accurate.<br \/>\n<b>Verdict:\u00a0I\u2019m cool with him getting one.<br \/>\n<\/b><br \/>\n<b style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Peja\u00a0Stojakovic<\/b><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">&#8211; Yes, he was on those same Sacramento Kings teams as Mike\u00a0Bibby, but I can\u2019t support this. His game is too \u201cEuropean\u201d for me. I just never thought he was that good.
